It would be logical to think that once your Social Security Disability Claim is denied, that is the end of the road. But you don't have to feel alone. In fact, in 2017 & 2018 only 34% of Social Security claims were approved on the first attempt according to this article. As unfair as this sounds, in the same study it was found that 46% of claims heard before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) were approved. In the state of Maine, the ALJs approved 48% of the total claims in Q4 of 2019 according to this data. How do you get in front of an ALJ? That's where we come in.
As trained and certified Disability Advocates, we can help you navigate the complex appeals process and confusing legal and medical jargon to best set you up to win your appeal with an ALJ. Of course, there are no guarantees that you will win, so we only get paid if we are successful in winning your case and your back-benefits are actually paid out.
